The KT3 series is a popular line of smart displays that are used for managing settings. I am under the impression that it originates from Suzhou Kunteng Electronics Co., they have manuals and if you stumbled on this page looking for other models, you might want to visit them. Their server is very slow from time to time. Below are also cached versions, to save you from a waiting frustration.

There are three “Parameter Setting” chapters for 22 settings:

  • “General Project Setting” (3)
  • “P Parameter Setting” (5)
  • “C Parameter Setting” (14)

Setting Parameters

Setting is done with:

  • Arrow Up == UP
  • On/Off == ENTER
  • Arrow Down == DOWN

How “enter settings” work:

  • Start with “General Project Setting”:
    • Press ENTER long to start. When On, within 5 sec press UP+DOWN for 2 sec
    • Within a minute: Use UP or DOWN to change values if needed, click ENTER to store and go to next value.
    • After entering last setting (third, Metric or Imperial):
      • Press ENTER for 2 sec to save and finish, or…
      • Press UP+DOWN for 2 sec to get into “P Parameter Setting”
  • Continue with “P Parameter Setting”:
    • Within a minute: Use UP and DOWN to change values if needed, click ENTER to store and go to next value.
    • After entering last setting P5:
      • Press ENTER for 2 sec to save and finish, or…
      • Press UP+DOWN for 2 sec to get into “C Parameter Setting”
  • Continue with “C Parameter Setting”:
    • Within a minute: Use UP and DOWN to change values if needed, click ENTER to store and go to next value.
    • After entering last setting C14 press ENTER for 2 sec to save and finish.

In short, turn on – ENTER, directly UP+DOWN 2s, ENTER through the three General values, after last value UP+DOWN 2s for P Settings, ENTER P1… P5, UP+DOWN 2s, ENTER through C Settings and ENTER 2s to save.

    • Is that not something the controller should handle? Maybe searching for “How do you reverse the direction of a brushless motor?” offers suggestions, like changing wires 😉

    • Maybe you could tell what controller model this is concerning? It might be faulty too. This post is a bit older now, ask the supplier and if things have changed it is appreciated to let it know here. Sorry for not being able to offer more support.

  4. Hey guys, any reason why I can’t adjust the parameters with the arrows?
    When I get into the parameters menu and try to do any change with the arrows it’s not changing any value like it’s locked or something.
    Any help? Thanks in advance!

  5. I hope this thread is still monitored. I have a KT LCD5 and I’m having a problem keeping the bike going due to it cutting usually while under load with full throttle. I’ll take any suggestions, but that’s not what made me type…. I found another group of settings that come after the C settings and it’s only got three parts labled L1, L2 and L3. I have not a single clue what they could be and don’t wanna experiment on this bike. Has anyone have any knowledge or seen these before? I think I know what the cutting off part might be, but won’t know for sure until I get ALL the settings set in stone. I know the P and C and general settings, but just came across the L1-3 settings last night. After the last C setting when the screen stops blinking after saving the last selection, hold up and down for 5 full seconds and boom…the L settings..

    Thanks for everyone’s help
    Dan
